Please note: this class will not meet on Thursday, November 26th due to Claymakers' Thanksgiving break.
As the season of lights approaches, we'll explore ways to light up our ceramic art. Our emphasis will be on framing flame, from votive cups to candlesticks to hanukiyot to advent wreaths.
Depending on student interest, we'll also consider electric light sources, including the basics of wiring a lamp. Most demos will begin at the wheel, but experienced hand-builders are also welcome; wheel students should be able to center clay and throw a cylinder.
