Skill Level: Intermediate, Advanced

These aren’t your mama’s slab ornaments! Inspired by Chandra Debuse’s recent 100 Ornaments project, Evelyn will guide students through a playful journey of imagination. We’ll begin with simple slab cutouts in basic shapes, then roll, bend, and shape them into lively three-dimensional ornaments bursting with personality.
Along the way, we’ll cover firing considerations and even how to make our own firing props. We'll also plan for decorating and glazing our creations (pro tip: bring your underglazes or plan to purchase some). Come experiment, explore, and create ornaments that are anything but ordinary!
