Skill Level: Intermediate, Advanced
It's almost spooky season—get into the Halloween spirit and learn to make your own monster sculpture! Bring ideas from your favorite classic monster movies, or imagine something no mortal has ever seen—think things with wings and talons, slimy scales or ghoulish grins with too many teeth.
Students will learn how to design their sculpture for stability and effect, how to sculpt from a solid block of clay, and how to employ surface textures and glaze finishes to bring their beasts to life. Expect in-class demonstrations, plenty of individual guidance, and a lot of creepy fun. All experience levels welcome.
