Add texture to your wheel-thrown pots! In this intermediate-level class, Mark will lead students in exploring a variety of techniques for manipulating wet clay. Projects will be driven by student interest and may include carving, faceting, stretching, creating and using stamps and sprig molds, and incorporating found objects as texture tools.

Demonstrations will focus on functional forms while giving students opportunities to experiment and develop their own approach to surface design.

You're ready for this class when you're comfortable independently wedging and centering clay and can consistently pull at 6" cylinder.
