Skill Level: Advanced Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

Explore the creative potential of coil construction in this class which will inspire both sculptors and functional hand builders. Students will learn various methods of producing high quality coils, including rolling, squeezing, and extruding. Taking inspiration from both historical and contemporary artists, we’ll use the coils we’ve produced to explore forms ranging from functional ware to abstract organic shapes to realistic sculptural pieces. 

Open to advanced beginners and beyond. Please note: the focus of this class is on small-to-medium sized works made from coils, not large pot construction.
