Skill Level: Intermediate, Advanced
This wheel-throwing class will focus on taking the round out of bounds! Students will take wheel-thrown objects and alter them immediately after they’re thrown: into squares, ovals, or whatever shape your minds and hands can muster. In some cases, this will only be a means to an end, because we will also look at assembling thrown and altered forms into complex objects such as boxes, vases and serving dishes. Additionally, we’ll incorporate some handbuilding techniques to help construct our assemblages.
