Date: Friday May 8, 2026
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Instructor: Sara Reynolds
Studio: Wheel 1
Level: Beginners
Ever wanted to give pottery a spin? Join us for a fun, hands-on introduction to wheel-throwing! It’s a great way to see if clay is your thing, and it's also a fun activity for friends or a date. You’ll learn the basics of centering clay and throwing pots on the potter’s wheel.
We supply everything: just wear comfy clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, tie long hair back, and bring a small towel. At the end of class, you can choose one piece to be glazed and fired in a color of your choice!
Note: Ages 18 & up only. The registration fee covers one participant and includes clay and firing of one piece. The glazing and firing process takes 3 weeks; Claymakers staff will contact you by email you when your piece is available for pickup.
We do our very best to get pieces through the multi-step drying and firing processes safely. Unfortunately, pottery is a fragile and fickle art, and breakages/unexpected outcomes do happen. In the rare event that your piece does not make it through the firings intact, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund or makeup class.
