Opening Reception: Friday August 7th 7-9pm at Claymakers. Meet the artists and get the first chance to purchase artwork and enter raffles, with refreshments.

Indelible is a gallery show featuring 40 ceramic artworks by 14 potters, painted with designs by 20 tattoo artists. Each piece was created by members of two distinct artistic communities, potters and tattoo artists, collaborating across mediums and styles to create something new.

These pieces are the result of a multi-month collaborative process. First, potters created vessels and sculptures for tattoo artists to select. Then, tattoo artists learned about ceramic paints and painted designs onto the objects in their tattoo art style. Finally, potters finished glazing the pieces and fired them a final time.

All artworks are available for purchase at the gallery. Visitors can also enter raffles for the chance to win pottery classes and credits for tattoo bookings with some of the artists.

All proceeds will be donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, a nonprofit that distributes millions of pounds of food annually to a vast network of local food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens across 34 NC counties.

The work will be on view August 7th - September 25th in the gallery space at Claymakers.
