Session 1: Bowl Making, Monday pm
Bowl Making (Session 1)
Have you been yearning for the chance to refine your bowl making skills?! In this class, you will focus on skills needed to achieve the flowing curve of a bowl with consistency, and review aspects of rims, trimmed feet, volume, weight, and function, before challenging yourself to explore the endless variations possible with this familiar form. Discussion and demonstrations will also cover glazing and decorating considerations for different parts of your bowls. As a bonus, students will be encouraged to build speed, confidence, and evaluative skills by turning as many bowls as they wish for donation to the spring Empty Bowls fundraiser (clay will be provided for fear-free practice!).
This is not a beginning wheel class. -enrolling students should have taken at least one beginning wheel class previously.
Monday evenings, 6:30-9:30
Session 1: January 7 - February 18
