Session 6: Continuing Wheel:Korean Inspired Pottery, Thursday Evenings
This course will introduce you to many ceramic forms from Korean history and will help you to integrate the historical techniques into your work. We will study the pottery from the Three Kingdoms, Goryeo, and Joseon Dynasties. Some of the techniques include openwork (incised openings), stamping, and Mishima (slip inlay). We will make a variety of functional forms, including dinnerware, bottles, jars, and teapots. Intermediate/advanced only.
*Note on times: This is a six week class. There will be no class the night of Thursday, September 26th due to "Steinfest" festivities.
