Session 3 Patterning with Colored Clay, Saturday mornings
Patterning with Colored Clay (Session 3)
Students will explore using contrasting, colored clay to create pictures and patterns on work, typically finishing pieces without glazes. Demonstrations will include working with naturally contrasting clay bodies, coloring clay using oxides or stains, and show effects ranging from simple marble patterns to murano glass-like pictures. Students will also learn how to make handles, and a variety of simple forms like cups, plates, and bowls as they construct simple hand-built forms from hand rolled slabs. All skill levels are encouraged to attend.
Saturday mornings, 10:00-1:00
Session 3: April 20 - June 1
