Made out of earth, shaped by human hands, tempered by fire:

pottery and clay sculpture keep us connected to the roots of human civilization.

In a fast-paced,
high-tech, urban world, they remind us of our humanity.

Claymakers is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit!

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Claymakers Arts Community accepts donations in support of our current operations and our long-term goals for strengthening and expanding Claymakers as a regional center of excellence in the clay arts. We rely on financial contributions to help keep Claymakers an affordable local resource for the Triangle ceramics community. We thrive because of this support and are grateful for your help. By becoming a monthly Sustaining Donor, you help to ensure that kilns are firing, classes are running, supplies are well stocked, and engaging new work fills the gallery!

Since 2000, Claymakers has offered classes and workshops, studio spaces, and materials to area students, artists, and schools. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your tax-deductible gift helps us to continue serving the Durham ceramics community and beyond! Each dollar you give supports Claymakers' mission to promote the joy of working with clay.

Here's how Sustaining Donors' support helps Claymakers:
  • Keeps Claymakers an affordable local resource for the Triangle ceramics community: Donations help underwrite the cost of classes, workshops and studio rentals, ensure Durham has a ceramic supply store, and maintain a gallery that promotes the ceramic arts, as both a showcase for established ceramic artists and as a launching pad for rising ceramic artists.
  • Provides financial stability: Donations help Claymakers weather unexpected expenses, from equipment repair to building maintenance or fluctuations in revenue.
  • Strengthen Claymakers’ long-term viability: Donations enable Claymakers to do ambitious (yet thoughtful!) planning as we continue to grow.
Claymakers Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; all donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. By contributing online, you certify that no goods or services have been or will be received in exchange for your contribution in compliance with section 170(f)(8) of the Internal Revenue Code.

If you would prefer to make a donation by check, please mail it to: Claymakers, 705 Foster Street, Durham, NC  27701.
